This morning when going to make an emergency cat food run, I noticed this creation from nature. It instantly reminded me that Autumn is slowly showing it's face here in Washington. Fog in the morning that leaves its mark on everything - including Miss Spider's web.

pictures.

Here are just a few pictures I'd like to share. These aren't of the craft pictures I've promised (not quite done with the projects yet...) but I wanted to share them anyway. Honey and I walked a nature preserve today that is located just about 10 miles from us in the Columbia Gorge. Nice way to start our day!

Unfortunately, there was not much wildlife out that I wanted to see (a blue herron and some eagles) but we did spot some cool insects and chattering birds. Even though I didn't see an eagle, I did spot a nest! (sorry for the terrible picture of it.)

craftin'.

I've made progress on some really cute crafts for the Wintry Market that Lonely Quail is participating in! I will share pictures this weekend when I have time to do a real post!

in our own backyard

Here are a few images from our recent trip around Washington. I am amazed that all of these amazing things are in my own backyard.

We traveled to: Long Beach, Wa - Port Orchards, Wa - Sequim and Port Angeles, Wa - Lake Crescent, Wa - Anacortes, Wa - then caught the ferry to Orcas Island in the San Juan's where we kayaked (AWESOME!) and Orca watched (AWESOME!) All and all, an amazing trip I can't wait to take again and again.
